The Best Exercise In The World

I think the Push Up is the best exercise in the world but also the most underrated. Most guys probably abandon the push up sometime around there 20's when they are asked that age old question. “How much do you bench press?” This is why I guarantee you if you walk into a gym on Monday there is always a line to get to a bench. If you are tired of waiting in that line I say we bring the push up back to its rightful place at the top of the exercise mountain. It not only builds powerful arms and a chiseled chest, it also develops a good support system for your core muscles. Push Ups are also a great way to judge how strong you are relative to your body weight.

How many pushups can you do? Test yourself by doing as many pushups as you can in 3 minutes. Take a short rest whenever you want, but keep the clock running the whole time. Fifty-five is about average, but if you can't reach 75—what most strength coaches consider "good"—then you need to either gain some more strength or step away from the beer. lol

The Android-running Archos 7 tablet

The Archos 7 Tablet  is an Android-based device with a seven-inch, 800 x 480 touchscreen display. It's 12mm thick and weighs in at 350g. It kinda looks like a giant smartphone.

The device is based on a single-core ARM 9 processor running at 600MHz, and according to Archos's CEO, Henri Crohas, fits the niche between smartphone and PC. I guess he forgot about a similar device made by Apple AKA the iPad.

It comes with an integrated USB connector and supports Wi-Fi, video, music playback, photo browsing and there's access to some Android apps. It also comes with a few Android widgets already thrown in.

It's French manufacturer says it can play video for up to seven hours on a single charge, or 44 hours of music. Archos says the built in speakers are, "a very capable replacement for a hi-fi or radio".

If you're tempted to buy an iPad or another tablet, then this one is a a little bit smaller but will certainly be easier on the wallet than the iPad.

Adventure In DC

My Preschoolers got a kick out of this. The butterflies freaked some of them out. They where landing everywhere. One landed on my head and the big brown one was very fond of my pants leg. (-:

Lift Weights, Then Lift Plates

Another smart time to eat is about 30 to 45 minutes after a workout. At this time, the enzymes responsible for energy production are in high gear, and the energy-storing hormones within our blood are suppressed.

This means less energy will be stored as fat. Carbs will be immediately taken up to replenish the low glycogen stores caused through exercising. Protein will be used for the recovery and growth of new calorie-burning muscle tissue. And the best news is, your body will burn most of the nutrients from the meal to fuel these reactions. That's why eating after a workout is a good idea.

Having protein late in the day, for perhaps your last meal or snack, will also provide your body with the protein it will use overnight to revitalize your muscles, hair, nails, and antibodies.

Of course, remember portion size. If you're not sure how much that might be, use the palm of your hand as a guideline. It's a good trick, since you probably have your hands with you.

As with most things in life, timing is everything. So when you're trying to drop pounds, don't just think about what you eat—think about when. This will enable you to get more nutrients from fewer calories. Of course, the fewer calories you eat, the easier it is to lose weight. So eat right. On time. On schedule.

Naked Yoga

I do yoga and I'm all about being naked but I never thought about adding the two.

I was reading something on MSNBC about a small group of people who now do yoga totally in the buff!

“Hot Nude Yoga,” is streaking across the country and becoming increasingly popular in, uhh..I will say progressive yoga studios for lack of a better word.
Some of the classes are co-ed, but the male-only sessions have become particularly popular in cities like New York, Los Angeles, Boston and San Francisco.

The naked yoga enthusiasts claim that doing yoga in the buff helps deepen their yoga practice as they gain appreciation of their natural bodies – explaining that the movement has more to do with fitness rather than sex. (I find this hard *no pun intended lol to believe because I sometimes get aroused just because the wind blows to hard lol)

The whole thing seems just a little bit awkward to me. I’m getting excited just thinking about seeing all the hot women in the downward dog pose...ahhh lol OMG but wait ugh I would also have to see guys *throws up a little in mouth. I think I'll pass on naked yoga. What about you? I'd love to there your thoughts.
